DropBox is ok and works well but DropBox Paper is a consummate fail and let downwards. Information technology's confusing, limited, makes it hard to collaborate. So I'd requite 4 stars to DropBox and 1 to Paper.

Shockiing app that uses 1GB RAM afterwards merely x minutes - even though all files are synced. Unsure what the app is doing simply it is a retentivity pig on M1 Mac Mini (16GB unified retentivity). I impale all dropbox processes/tasks with Activity Managing director and restart. Bam, within a minuite back upwards to 500 - 600MB RAM and less than 10 minutes later back upward to 1GB. I was a long-time user but tin't peradventure recommend this app.

Some half brained production manager brain farted and the engineers complied to brand this stupid 100th bad file-brower app. In that location is absolutely no employ for it. It hinders everyday flow of searching & opening documents. Why would I have a useless app; when the Bone gives me a sexy file browser and your job is f'ing simply SYNC - IN THE BACKGROUND. Do not cantankerous the holy line & get space on my screen - if you had only done what yous exercise best - i.e only sync; I would have been happier & productive.

Dropbox remains one of the all-time and about reliable cloud services. Ignore the i star reviews, which are more deserving (from my direct experience) of Backblaze and their sad ilk.

1 star review is being generous. Treatment of long fourth dimension users and limiting to three devices imposed without alarm is rubbish. Yep, it's functional just hostility to users from visitor deserves 0 stars - not possible to score that low but I am sure many users would if they could. As for all these "v star" reviews - imitation reviews, one-time posters, probably some dropbox employee paid to post them! Bulletin to dropbox - treat your users with respect!

Note that this version installer, 103.4.383, freezes finder in Mojave. This happened to me on two different computers with the latest Mojave. After a while of the scary freeze, the estimator was released to piece of work again.

Excellent Cloud based storage solution. Been using since it hit the web. Not interested in having to upgrade to 1TB of space for $, for but one device. Understandably Dropbox is a business and needs to show a profit. Thanks for what y'all've given, and volition go on to use Dropbox every bit a secondary Deject solution via the web interface.

A very skillful cloud data storage service that's proficient for sharing and other purposes. Used their free service for years and the app has worked fine and integrated with macOS well. Never had an app crash through the years, including the current version. Now, how the heck did it receive a 1 out of 5 stars rating on Macupdate? Makes no sense.

I accept used Dropbox for many years. It does what information technology says on the tin, and is perfectly capable of updating itself. I take given information technology 4 stars rather than five because of contempo years it has tended to go rather over-featured, with unnecessary interfaces and facilities. I am only writing this review because MacUpdate is pestering me, after downloading a fresh library re-create. Be warned! If the emails do not stop I will endeavor unfollowing the app.

I have been using dropbox since 2012 and it has e'er satisfied me ... But now that information technology has reduced the device limit to 3, I am looking for an alternative! v GB is plenty for me I wouldn't know what to do with a TB ... But they intend to make me buy an upgrade ...

However the near stable and fastest cloud storage throughout these years! Dropped G Suite and Function 365 after simultaneously using them. Loving Dropbox Transfer, it is like your builtin WeTransfer. Yeah, the price is still a hurdle but fk it. Past the way, All these complaints I see are just "gratuitous" users complaining well-nigh 3 computers maximum for their gratis account?
